When we have support from communities to be our full and authentic selves-we can change the world. The Brown Boi Project is working with thousands of young people of color to change the way our families and communities talk about gender.
Building on last summer, BBP will bring more conversations about race, gender, self-love and privilege to 15 cities across the country through Summer of Brown Boi. We invite you to join us for local events throughout the month of August focused on healing, challenging misogyny and building a self-care practice. Check us out #SoBB on social media to follow the conversation and get involved.
We look forward to building with you!
The DKQI Festival is in part homage to the glorious heritage of Drag Queens. But it is more importantly a chance to see acts that demonstrate the evolution of this subversive entertainment genre by Drag Kings & InBeTweens. Transgendered and transitioning, non-binary, intersex and cis-gendered drag performers such as Transvestite TV, Veronica Green, Lucia Louis, and Prizilla Queen of the Dezzerts are pushing the boundaries of perceptions and performance of Drag. The DKQI is proud to curate these acts and bring them to a wider public.
